2017 Ace Shootout is a Record-Breaker

The 2017 Ace Shootout raised more than $2 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the most ever raised in the event’s 20-year history. In total, Ace has raised more than $20 million through Shootout since it started.

The Ace Shootout is a celebrity golf skills challenge. Four teams of celebrities representing basketball, baseball, football and hockey compete against each other in a long drive challenge, putting challenge, chipping challenge and others. The Ace Shootout is filmed as a television show for Golf Channel.

For 2017 the teams were:

  • Team Football: Mark Rypien and Marc Bulger
  • Team Basketball: Julius “Dr. J” Erving and Cliff Levingston
  • Team Hockey: Mike Eruzione and Clark Gillies
  • Team Baseball: Kevin Millar and John Lackey

 

Comedian Bill Engvall and actor John O’Hurley again served as hosts for the show. The 2016 Ace All-Star, Kasey Harvey attended the event this year and will be featured on the show.

This year’s Shootout will premiere on Golf Channel on March 27 at 5 p.m. ET.
