Golf Tournament Gives $15K to Local Kids

It’s time to par-tee: the Golf to Give Classic celebrated its 20th tournament on October 15 at Apple Tree Resort! The annual tournament, which benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, raised $15,000 for local kids with special healthcare needs utilizing programs and services at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Unit and Yakima’s Children’s Village.

The event was organized and sponsored by Apple Tree Resort, Ace Hardware, and Les Schwab. Even with the sub-par weather of high winds and showers, 21 teams showed up to support the vision of enhancing children’s healthcare across the Yakima Valley.

The tournament saw an increase in teams and local businesses sponsoring the event. Thanks to the tee-rrific sponsors for their generous support: Bob Hall’s Auto Dealerships, Canopy Country RV Center, GTO Carwash, Kline Construction, Kennedy Transportation, Moss Adams LLP, Northwest Auto Body, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Yakima, Price Cold Storage, Bill Harris Used Cars, Inc., Cintas Facility Services, Evergreen Financial Services, and Crothall Healthcare.

We look FORE-ward to seeing you on the green again next year on Friday, September 15, 2017.
