Cancelled Gala Still a Success!

Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Children’s Hospital turned its cancelled gala into a virtual event and announced a net total of $175,432. This total includes support from corporate and individual sponsorships, direct donations and $33,049 from a virtual silent auction. The event was to be held March 28, 2020 at the Antique Auto Museum in Hershey but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis.

“We are blown away by the community’s continued support of children and families, especially given the current circumstances,” said Danielle Sunday, director of Children’s Miracle Network. “While we would have loved to have brought everyone together to celebrate the incredible miracle journeys of the patients we serve, thanks to our generous supporters, the event still generated vital funds for Penn State Children’s Hospital, which of course, was our ultimate goal. We could not ask for better partners, many of which are coping with their own challenges in light of the coronavirus. Thank you.”
